Some of the ladies from Our Lady of the Sioux Church, Oglala, SD have started a women’s group for fellowship and special projects. The ladies meet on Tuesday evenings from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The ladies pray the Rosary and then move onto other projects.
Their current project is a Bingo planned for March 6, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. which is a collaboration between Terra Sancta chair people, parish council, and the women’s group.. Each Tuesday the ladies make sofa pillows and tote bags to be sold at the bingo. There will be tables available for rent if people from the area have anything they would like to sale from rummage to crafts. Pizza, popcorn, and a special dinner will be available for the hungry partakers.
The ladies decided that half of their money will go to fund a scholarship and the other half will go to help fund Terra Sancta/Makoce Wakan.
