Lakota Nation Invitational, 2013
posted on December 21, 2013
Another year comes to a close as families and friends cheered on their student-athletes at the 37th annual Lakota Nation Invitational. Thousands of students from across Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota joined in four days of athletic, academic and cultural competitions including a Business Plan Competition, Lakota Language and Knowledge Bowls, Basketball and Wrestling tournaments and a traditional Wačhípi.
Red Cloud's students took to the court in an amazing show of sportsmanship and skill while others performed in the Invitational's first ever Poetry Slam. And, when the tournaments came to a close, our Crusaders placed in nearly every competition, taking first place in Cheerleading, Language, Poetry, Business and Archery. View the links below to relive all the excitement.
