Senior Marisa Snider awarded Creighton Scholarship
posted on April 25, 2012
Senior Marisa Snider has had her sights set on Creighton University in Omaha, NE for a long time, but at roughly $30,000 per year, a top-notch Creighton education doesn’t come cheap.
For that reason, the news that Snider will receive a full-ride academic scholarship to the university has tremendous meaning. Now Snider will not have to be content with settling for a second or third choice school, and will be able to attend Creighton without finances being an overarching concern.
In addition to the Creighton scholarship, Snider is also the recipient of a Horatio Alger scholarship in the amount of $5,000, and an Upward Bound grant in the amount of $4,000. She plans to major in environmental science, and hopes to return to the reservation after college and work in a scientific capacity to improve the physical environment.
Congratulations, Marisa!
