Tiarra Little '12 makes West River Conference history
posted on May 4, 2012
When senior Tiarra Little won a golf tournament earlier this week, she earned herself a place in the state record books.
The win was the third year in a row that Little has won the West River Conference tournament, the first time in conference history that anyone has accomplished such a “three-peat”. Little shot an 84 to come out on top out of the 26 golfers participating in the tournament.
The West River Conference includes Red Cloud, Pine Ridge School, Little Wound School, Bennett County, Todd County, and St. Francis Indian School. Red Cloud came in second overall of the teams were represented at the May 2 tournament, losing out only to Bennett County.
Little, who will matriculate to Stanford University in the fall on a full-ride scholarship, has been on the golf team since she was in seventh grade.
Congratulations, Tiarra!
